Prelude
Past lovers often leave each other with much dismay.
Some even leave with broken hearts.
My heart of glass shattered so easily with those words.
"I'm sorry…I can't love you anymore."
They left your mouth so smoothly.
My eyes were shocked and you sighed, kissing me on the cheek.
The hot salty tears rolled down my scarlet cheeks.
"Why not…?"
I wanted to ask but my mind couldn't force the words out.
You left me there, walking away so solemnly.
All I could do was whisper.
"Goodbye…"
