Summary: Just a quick little thing that come to me. Not a drabble, or one-shot, just a quick little snippet.

A friend of mine is writing his own Naruto fanfic and earlier I was watching my little brother fight a Kiba vs. Kiba battle. Which got me thinking about this and I had to write it. So . . . BLAH!

Warning: Cursing, insinuated yaoi, Shika/Kiba. AU.

"Mizu no ken!" (1) Sarah screamed, signing the hand symbols faster than she ever had. From out of no where, sharp water blades attacked her opponent. After they let up he lay there. "Èl es muerto." (2)

"Who d'you think you fucking are?!" Kiba yelled, stepping out of the bushes. "Why did you go as far as to fucking kill him?"

Sarah turned quickly, almost falling. "Who the hell are you?" she prepared herself for a fight.

"Inuzuka Kiba!" he proclaimed proudly.

Sarah stopped. 'Inuzuka? He's . . . family?' "Ha! Then killing you will be a pleasure! Here's a name that you'd best not forget, Kuromizu Sarah!"

Kiba didn't even blink. "Ketatamashii no shikon!" (3)

"Aisu no disuku!" (4) Sarah quickly summoned her best defense. "Doncha recognize me Kiba-kun?"

"Why should I?" Kiba pulled some random taijutsu. "Am I supposed to know you?"

Sarah smirked. "Of course." She pulled down her shield. "Jouki no bakufuu!" (5) She laughed as the steam attacked his face. "Remember now?"

Kiba flew backwards, covering his face, trying to block the steam. He stood up. "Yes. And I never got you back!" He came at her from behind, using the substitution jutsu. "Ha!" She was knocked face down.

Sarah flipped over. "Mizu no kei!" (6) the whip flashed, striking Kiba twice in the stomach and once on the back. "Hmph. That was nothing, Inukkoro!" (7)

Kiba flipped her off. "Mesuinu!" (8) He whistled shrilly. "Akamaru, ready? Nibai ketatamashii shikon!" (9)

Sarah gulped as the attack hit. With it, she was knocked out. And vulnerable. With that Kiba walked away.

"Why didn't you kill her?" Shikamaru asked, trying to push Kiba away from his attack on his neck..

"What was the point? It wouldn't have made me happy, and wouldn't have brought him back to life." Kiba growled, trying fight the hands that were keeping him from his 'prize'.

"Hmm." Shikamaru let up.

Later

"Besides," Kiba whispered, getting up from the bed where Shikamaru lay asleep. "Family is everything."
