Courtney and Bridgette were walking home from dance class when a group of guys started whistling at them.
"I don't know Bridgette, but that guy with the green mohawk is kind of cute," Courtney whispered to her friend as they walked past the group of skaters. Courtney actually knew the boy quite well. They were lab partners at school and he was in her math and English classes.
"Courtney, he's a skater boy. You're a pretty face," Bridgette replied and she accidentally kicked a flyer. Courtney picked it up and it was for a talent show. She threw it over her shoulder and little did she know, skater boy picked it up.
At the show, Courtney sat at the judge's table with Katie and Sadie.
"Oh my gosh, Sadie, I am so excited for Duncan's act!" They both squeeled when the skater boy came on stage with a guitar. And guess what. He won the talent show.
Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop, Landon Pigg
Courtney took a break from reading her book to take a sip of her latte. She noticed a boy with many piercings walk in carrying a backpack. She instantly began judging him based on looks as he ordered a cup of black coffee. She finally grew bored and resumed her romance novel.
"Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full," The boy smirked at his predicament and Courtney reluctantly agreed.
"Hey, I'm Duncan. Wait don't I know you? You were the prom princess!" He said after checking her out.
"I have a name which happens to be Courtney!" She said with a hmph as she went back to her book. Duncan began to get some papers and books from his backpack and Courtney's curiosity got the better of her. She looked over his shoulder and noticed he was struggling with a math problem.
"You have to carry the one, smartie," she smiled, pleased with the insult she created.
"Thanks," he said, but what he meant was 'kiss me'. And kiss him she did. Out of impulse as she later claims.
"No problem," she said, but what she meant was 'I love you'.
Rock and Roll All Night, KISS
Courtney disgustedly maneuvered her way through the party. Geoff grabbed ahold of her.
"Hey, have a beer!" He shoved a bottle in her face and his breath reeked of alcohol. This is not what she showed up for. She worked her way to the snack table, but had to cross the dance floor. She was absolutely horrified when she felt a hand grip her butt. She ran faster and got salsa on her new shirt.
She went upstairs into Izzy's room hoping to borrow a shirt. Only a crazy girl could throw this crazy party. She stripped off the blouse and began rummaging through the drawers. The door opened and slammed shut. She spun around and saw Duncan there wide-eyed. His look of surprise turned into a smirk when he saw his girlfriend.
"Princess, I want to rock and roll all night," he said as he walked towards her. She kissed him on the lips and put on a shirt.
"Too bad," and with that she left the room.
The Boys are Back in Town, Thin Lizzy
Courtney entered the Scouts of America building. All of the Camp Princesses were moaning and groaning as the Adventure Lads came off the bus from their campout. The weekend had been fun without the boys there to pull their hair or to put worms in their socks. Courtney also enjoyed herself, even though she was a counselor, because without the men, there was no girls to come running to her crying. Which meant less work for her.
She caught sight of Duncan coming of the bus.
"Did you have fun?" She asked him, "I missed you."
"Yeah, it was okay, I guess," he told his girlfriend. She, afterall, was the one who convinced him to do this, "I missed you, too."
And he kissed her shortly earning lots of 'ewws' from the children.
