Just a quick sad Starco prompt I did for a writing contest. Enjoy

Marco could feel the Monster arm on him. For weeks he had lived with that… THING attached to his body. Star had tried spell after spell after spell. She tried everything she could possibly think of, but nothing was working. She spent most of her day now pouring over the big spell book she had, trying endlessly to think of a cure.

Marco couldn't go to school. If he did, he would have hurt someone. All the Arm wanted was to hurt and maim and tear. Even with Star, he had to force himself to not move as she tried the daily spells. He couldn't leave his room. His poor mother was reduced to sliding his meals through a cat flap that Star had made.
Knock knock.

"Who is it." He asked, monotone.

"It's Star…"

"Come in."

Marco summoned every bit of energy he had to keep the arm down as the door swung open and Star's pale white face came into view.

"Marco… I have some bad news…" This was it, the moment Marco had been waiting for. Star was about to tell him she couldn't fix the arm. He'd either have to live as an amputee for the rest of his life or keep the arm and hide from everyone.

"Marco, I can't fix the – "Marco cut her off.
"Save it Star. I know what you're going to say."

"I…" She started, tears in her eyes.
She walked up to him, on the other side so as to not get hit by the arm. She kneeled down next to his bed, and gave him a kiss.
Marco had never kissed anyone before. He loved the feeling, although he wished it had been under better circumstances.
"I'm sorry, Marco. I didn't mean to do this. Will you ever forgive me?"
He looked up at her. "I already have. I can just get it amputated, no biggie. I'll just wear a prosthetic from now on."
He tried to hide from her the fact that he was devastated. He tried to hide the fact that he was upset. He didn't want to hurt Star. She had just been trying to help after all.

"Marco…."
"I love you… I'm sorry."

That was all she said before she walked out the door for the night.
