A/N: Just a little story. There's not much of a plot. Something that could happen after Jate kiss in 2x09. I'm sorry for any mistakes. Tried to correct all of them, but it's like 4:39 am, where I live and my keyboard decided to put up a fight :/

Good Enough

"What the fuck, Jack" she asked. "What the fuck do you want?" she asked again. It's like nothing made sense anymore. Everythings's so fucked up, she screwed everything up. How the hell could she kiss him. She knew better than that. She wasn't good enough. She couldn't give him what he wanted. She couldn't give him what he deserved to have. She was just a fucking fugitive with a past that kept haunting her. He was the good guy, he didn't deserve any of that. She couldn't try and she couldn't ask him to put up with her and she knew that, but still she kissed him. She made herself a promise that she'd never do that, yet she'd done it. And she didn't know what to do, so she run.

She run away as it was the only thing she could do. Running away from her problems was her best option. It alawys was. Kate alawys got away. She always managed to just run away, never facing real consequences of her actions.

But, there he was. Chasing her thorugh the jungle, not letting her run away.

"What do you want, Jack?" she asked again, this time, no anger in her voice.

"I want to understand," he said.

It was simple like that. He was there, and he tried his best. He actually made an effort to follow her and to catch her. It was more than anyone had ever done for her.

"I just... I want to love you but I can't... I'm not good enough for you..." she started but he stopped her with his lips, slowly and passionately kissing her.

"Don't ever say that again. You're everything that I want," he said and kissed her again, holding her tight, not letting her go.

It was all she needed. Someone fighting for her, showing her that he cared. She loved him and she knew he loved her. At this point she didn't need anything else. She had everything she'd ever wanted, she had someone who cared.

The End
