I do not own any of these magnificent characters from Bleach.

It was dark in the woods. The captain of the 2nd division was hard at work training with Suzumebachi. These woods were the place she always came to train or to get her mind off of things. It held a special meaning to her, especially this spot. After the battle with Aizen and the arrancars she had spent all of her free time ensuring no one could ever get as far as that traitor did. When Aizen had betrayed Soul Society he didn't just make the 13 Court Guard Squads look bad but her personally. She was the captain of squad 2 and the head of the Punishment Force. She felt disgraced. Soifon had already been training non stop for about 5 hours and was starting to feel tired and a little out of breath.

"Still training?" Soifon whipped around swinging her sword at the stranger. She was too slow, the stranger flashed stepped behind her.

"You missed." Soifon turned around, this time to see the face of the stranger.

"Y-Yoruichi-sama." She said in shock.

"Why so surprised little bee? Did you miss me?" Yoruichi asked as she roughed up Soifon's hair.

"I'm not surprised. I was just wondering why you're even here. Shouldn't you be with Urahara back in the World of the Living?" Soifon hated Urahara. It pissed her off when she saw the way Yoruichi-sama was living.

"I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by. You didn't answer my question." Soifon looked confused.

"What question?"

"Did you miss me?" Yoruichi leaned in close to Soifon.

Immediately Soifon's face turned a bright shade of red. She looked away from her mentor trying desperately to regain her self control.

"Not really." She answered.

Yoruichi sighed. "Lying is a very dangerous game to play. You can get killed, especially playing it with me. If you're going to lie you have to make it believable." Yoruichi gently gripped Soifon's chin in between her fingers, turning Soifon's head to look into her eyes. "Did. You. Miss. Me?"

"Yes." Soifon whispered giving in.

"You train too much little bee." In one quick movement Yoruichi was on the ground laying Soifon's head on her lap. Both of them laid like that for awhile just gazing up at the stars. "It's like old times."

'It was.' Soifon thought. She remembered 110 years ago when they were at this very same spot, in this exact position but, the roles had been switched. People had said she'd changed since then. And she would agree with them. She did change. She was stronger, smarter, older. But, she still felt lost and weak. Still had the need to prove herself. At least that's how she felt whenever Yoruichi was around. She had trained for years and years, ever since Yoruichi left, to surpass her mentor. Then, when Yoruichi came back it still seemed as if she wasn't good enough. Not to beat the Flash Goddess at least. She still felt like her little bee, and Yoruichi was her black cat.
