She needed power, unatainable power and he would be the one to give it to her. Naruto. She didn't know why she needed it, nor did she care, it was only a desire born the day he started training her.
Right now he was watching her, analysing her every move, scouting for mistakes and errors. He was uncharacteristicly silent, but it didn't bother her, for she knew that he was her way to strength. Physical and intellectual. As she continued, sweat poured over her body, dripping from her chin and brow. She ignored it. It only proved that she was that much closer to her goal. Unimaginable power.
She was practicing for what seemed like years. Eat, sleep, train... It was a cycle, and she was in the middle of it, her desire kept her going.
Memories of the past were gone, somehow lost in the darkness. But, she didn't need them, only the present mattered and the person watching her.
It was like a dream, an endless void encapsulating her and her trainer. Distractions were kept at bay by the natural shield so she would not lose focus.
But still, she wished to know how she came here and what for.
Suddenly, the ground shook before her, spliting in half. She fell with a toneless cry in to the darkness, not knowing what awaited her.
----------
"Hinata! HINATA! Oh please wake up." shouted the young blond. He was currently shaking the young girl, trying to wake her, while a pink haired girl examined her for wounds.
"Naruto, stop shaking her!" she commanded, "I can't examine her properly if you do not calm down."
"Oh, sorry Sakura," responded the young ninja, while he layed the blue haired girl carefully on the grass.
"Is she gonna be alright?" asked Naruto. He couldn't keep the worry from his voice.
"I do not know, she is in perfect physical condition, but her brain could be damaged," the medical ninja sighted, "It would be best if we took her to a hospital so we could make a better estimate on her condition."
The boy agreed with her, their search for Sasuke would be delayed, again. But still, he was glad if only a bit worried, they have found her unconscious on the boarder of the Fire Country.
He still remembered that day, about four years ago, the day she had disappeared. They had searched for her, the Hokage had given them a year, but the results were disappointing. Still they continued their search even after the time limit, Naruto and Neji having the most hope, but they were forced to stop, for they still had a life and people who needed them.
The day they stopped was the day she was proclaimed dead. Her funeral was lithered with sadness, even under the glaring sun. People who knew her cried and weeped, while others stood with a depressing look on their faces, remembering the kind and selfless girl they had all cherished and loved.
Naruto hated that day, he had not only lost a fellow shinobi, but also a friend, one that was generous, caring and loving.
But she was here, alive. The hapiness he felt was overwhelming. He suddenly had to much energy to contain, he needed to realease it.
So it was with chakra infused feet that he ran to Kakashi, transmitting the good news. In his hapiness, he never saw a pair of eyes, spying them and then disappearing in to the darkness.
----------
"Is the girl in their hands now?" asked the fobscured figure. The other person standing right in front of him nodded.
"Good, then we can start with the second stage." and he melted in to the black void, his hologram faiding.
Itachi only stood there, remembering the girls purpose.

Well, that is it for now, this is my first Naruto fic so yeah...
I intend the next chapter to be about 8 times longer and if you have any propositions for couples, then feel free to propose.
I accept criticism, but flammes are immature.
