He was cleaning himself when he saw his master. Usually he would run over to her and ask for attention. But when he saw the thing in her arms he high tailed it out of there. He hid under a table cowering; the monster was only a few feet away now. His master smiled at him before she walked away. Now it was only the monster and him. There was no way he was going to stay. He turned around and ran all the way upstairs. He was going to get away from the monster. Of course he stopped at the top of the stairs and looked back. Even though he ran right in front of the monster it did not try to get him. Why wouldn't the monster try to get him? As much as he wanted to go run, he knew his curiosity would get the better of him. With that he took a step down, then stopped. His eyes moved towards the monster again. It still not moved. He took another step, then another, until he was at the bottom of the stairs. He ran behind the couch, hoping praying that the monster would not see him. He peeked out from his hiding spot. The monster did not move or do anything to say it new were he was. Then it dawned on him, the monster was asleep. Of course he could of got away before it did wake up, but he was thinking differently. He would get his revenge for those other countless times. He ran out from behind the couch and went behind the table. He took one look just to make sure that the monster was still asleep before he started to quietly walk over to it. Soon enough he was right in front of it. The thing was huge and loud when need to be. He raised his paw and swiped at it. He jumped bag when he saw it lightly sway back and forth. It did not advance though and did not retreat. He moved right back over to it. He was getting ready to pounce. He was so close to getting his revenge when the monster came to life. A big loud vrooming sound came from it. That was when he lost his cool. He did not look back as he ran all the way under the table. His master walked right down stairs and saw him cowering under the table. She walked over to the monster. He was amazed to see that the monster only obeyed the his master. She quieted the thing down. Then she walked over to him. She took him from under the table and cuddled him. His eyes did not stray from the monster as she rocked him back and forth. Then a sweet voice popped out of her mouth
"awww poor Chester is afraid of the big bad vacuum"
she held him in her arms as she walked up the stairs. He took one last look at the monster before it was out of his sight . You one this time monster, but next time you wont be so lucky.
