He liked to watch her as she slept. So peacefully. Her brunette hair was falling in her face, her shiny eyes were closed. Her chest raised up and down and her hands moved to grip the bed covers and pull them up, protecting herself from the cold.

They had spent so much time apart, so many lonely nights, but now, as the sun rised he could only tell time didn't matter. She was safe. She was thankfully safe in his arms again. He moved a hand to gently brush a strand of hair from her face. Her eyes opened sharply and she looked up at him.

Tarrlok moved his hand away from Korra's face as she raised from the bed and pressed a kiss on his lips. "What time is it?" she asked. He shrugged. "Ten, I suppose..."Korra's eyes widened. "Ten?" she repeaded, breathing fast. "Tenzin is going to kill me." she threw the covers from herself and hopped out of the bed, walking around the room. "Looking for this?" Tarrlok smirked, showing her the lace underwear.

"Yes." she smirked back and he threw it straight to her. She pulled it on, then her bra and clothing. She sat down in front of the mirror and quickly brushed her hair then pulled it up in a ponytail, as usual. Tarrlok seemed to pout. "Can't you stay a bit longer?" She cocked an eyebrow. "No... Unless you want Tenzin to lock me up in my room..." she chuckled lightly.

He raised from his seat, pulled on his boxers and wrapped his night robe around himself. She got away from the mirror and walked over to him, pressing her body against his. "Still hate me?" he asked. "I'll always hate you..." she growled, smirking.

It was a game to them. They fought, they kissed, they made love and Korra always left in the morning. He sighed. "Stay..." Korra looked up at him, a bit more seriously this time. "I can't..." she whispered, raising a hand to touch his face, stroke his cheek. He gripped her hand and squeezed it. "I have to return to the island, but I'll find an excuse later to come, or I'll just sneak out in the night..."

"I'll take you somewhere special tonight..." he whispered back. Korra's eyes shined. "I can't wait then..." and with that she run to the window and jumped out. It wasn't high so she would land down with safety. Tarrlok had checked. He run to the window and watched her run off, sadness covering his face as she left him alone and miserable again.
