Hey this is my first shot at fanfiction so let me know if you like it.

Chapter one

The Explanation

Flash! "What was that?" exclaimed Will, as he dropped his bow and sprinted inside the hut. " Halt! Halt! A weird boy just appeared out of thin air while I was practicing, he is wearing a long black cloak, he had weird circle glass things around his eyes, and he was holding a stick."

"Wow! That spell that Professor Dumbledore gave me worked I am really back in time!" cried the boy excitedly. "Well, I think that I should take a look around and try to find out where I am."

Meanwhile Will wanted to get a closer look. He starts to creep out the door of the hut. Snap! The mystery boy turns and points his stick at Will.

"Who are you and where are you from?" Will asked the other boy. As Will asked this question he picked his bow up off the ground, took an arrow from his quiver and drew back his bow in a fluid, lighting fast movement.

The boy in the cloak saw this and cried "Expelliarmus" which sent Will's bow flying into the air out of reach from him. Now the other boy began "Some people call me The Boy Who Lived but my real name is Harry Potter and I am from London, England, I go to Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry" Harry said to the boy across the field. "Now I suppose I can ask the same thing, what is your name and where am I?"

"My name is Will Treaty and we are in the country Aralune. Have you never heard of it?" Will started to inch his way toward his bow because he left his knives inside the hut. Harry noticed this movement.

"Hey, you stay where you are or I'll use my magic on you again!" Harry yelled at Will from across the field. "No, I have never in my life heard of Aralune." said Harry in a by the matter of fact tone.

"How did you just appear out of thin air and what is this Dumbledore thing and why are you pointing that stick at me?" asked Will not trying to be rude to Harry because they had just met.

"Professor Dumbledore is Headmaster at Hogwarts where I go to school to learn how to become a wizard and that is how I materialized out of thin air because I am a wizard that also explains my stick, or it's proper name, my wand" explained Harry.

"So, let me get this straight" said Will. "You are a wizard, you go to a school called Hogwarts, you came from the future, you can do magic, and you know somebody named Dumbledore" said Will.

"Well, actually his name is Albus Dumbledore... But you get the point" clarified Harry. "Well, enough about me, tell me more about you" declared Harry.

"Well, all through out my childhood I lived in the ward with kids whose father died in battle against Morganath's army and whose mother died so the ward took us in" interpreted Will. "I never even got to meet my parents because they died before I can remember anything" Will explained.

"Then, why are you here at this little hut?" asked Harry while trying to hold back tears because this boys life story was even sadder than his.

"Because at the age of fifteen you can choose what you want to do and you become an apprentice to the master of that field, I wanted to be a knight but got turned down by the battle master at Castle Redmont. So, Halt, the Ranger of Redmont fief, said that he needs an apprentice. So, he chose me." Will told Harry.

Will and Harry talked like old friends and they didn't even know that they would go on an adventure that would change history forever.
