Story:
Naruto and Sasuke were on team 7s bridge at 6:00am, waiting for their late sensei. Sasuke leaning against the bridges rail, brooding, Naruto sitting, his back to a tree, writing in an untitled book he had brought with him. Sakura had yet to arrive.
Sasuke looked up from his brooding just noticing the book Naruto had. "Dobe, I didn't think you were the intellectual type" Sasuke quipped. "Shut up, Teme!" Naruto shouted back holding the book protectively. Sasuke, his curiosity aroused, strolled over and smoothly swiped the book from Naruto's arms. "Sasuke-teme, give it back!" Naruto yelled, jumping up and down unsuccessfully trying to reach his book, which Sasuke held over his head, above Naruto's reach. "Iie, Dobe, I'll give it back when I'm finished" Sasuke said emotionlessly. "No, give it back now!" Naruto shouted, desperately trying to grab his book, his expression quickly changing from angry to panicked as Sasuke ignored him and opened the book to somewhere in the middle. What he saw was what he never expected to see, poems, hundreds of poems. They were handwritten so he assumed that Naruto had written them all. Randomly he chose one and started to read:
My Wish
I wish I could soar up into the night sky,
Forgetting my problems and sadness up high,
Into the shadowy blackness up there,
into the flowing peace unaware,
Away from the chaotic world below,
into the endless stars above.
Intrigued, he read the one after it:
My Life
Crimson sky coming down upon me,
Reckless fire closing in around me,
Darkening shadows growing before me,
Corrupted ground coming up below me,
Evil Demons, claws out behind me,
Insane monster, coming up from within me,
All of this, out to kill me.
Wordlessly he handed Naruto the book back, his opinion of the blond enigma completely changed, and his respect for Naruto, growing amazed he could survive in such a cruel world. Naruto, just glad to have his book back, wisely kept silent as he stuffed the book back into his orange coat.
Later, Sakura appeared announcing her presence with a loud "Sasuke-kun!" Two hours after, Kakashi appeared, late as usual. The day progressed as always, D-rank mission and all, as did the days after that. Sasuke made no mention of the opinion changing event that took place that early morning on the bridge.
Kit: Not good is it? I'm new so I guess it's expected. Anyway, review please: )
