Notes: Uh.... it's about Chiriko's death, minna-san. ^^ Well... at least it ain't about Nuriko's, ne? *sigh*
Spoilers: Ep. 44, and ep. 33, I suppose.
Chiriko
Too many people have died for this day.
Too many people, wandered astray.
Enemy, ally, friend or foe.
Unto their deaths, life they did bestow.
Until the death of thee so fair.
Until the blood mixed with hair.
Until the love in thy eyes
That glistened in the morning skies.
Until the smile, the random grin,
the one appearing with the rise of a chin.
Until the sparkle thou brought to this world.
Until the love that thy uncurled.
Until the innocence of a child,
a sweet one, kind, and timidly mild.
Until that child rose abloom
to the furious struggles of instant doom.
Until that child feared no more,
so that he walked up to death's door.
Shouted, Let me in, for Suzaku's sake.
For his own life, he did now take.
For his friends, he did now die.
So that he would not cry,
over their deaths, after they were gone,
for he had just now come to belong.
So thus he did his tragic deed,
to defeat his foe with unusual speed.
The toy that he did now use to kill,
was innocent looking, run of the mill.
But then that toy, it met his chest.
It pierced into his tender breast.
It tore the skin, it sprayed with blood,
the bright red color dyeing the mud.
It ripped into him, time and time again,
until his life left that of men.
Before he died, he pleaded soft,
that his meaning not be lost.
Miboshi is gone, dead, I know.
And I as well, after my foe.
Let me die, leave me, I behest.
For I'm stopping you in your quest.
Please, my friends, leave me to die,
to lay and watch the evening sky.
So that I may join our friend up there,
in the heavens, if I dare.
So the child did now fall dead,
and that land became his death bed.
But he was happy, for he knew,
that his sacrifice, what he could do,
was going to help his dearest friends,
and he saved them in the precious end.
At his dying gasp, he had looked to the sky,
and what he saw, his eyes did not lie.
There in the heavens, beckoning him,
smiling and laughing, with eyes not dim,
was the familiar face of Nuriko,
greeting the lifeless child,
Chiriko.
A/N: Okay, yes, I know that this isn't exactly what happened... *coughs* And yes, I know that what Chiriko said wasn't what he REALLY said! It's poetry! Bad, bad poetry, but still, poetry! ^^ Domo arigatou gazaimashita for reading, minna-san! I appreciate it no da!
