Maxie stood outside Dante's apartment, her ear pressed against the door.

Please don't be having sex, please don't be having sex.

She had knocked a few times but got no answer. She started to leave when she heard some movement. Then another thought crossed her mind.

Please don't be a burglar, please don't be a psycho killer burglar.

She took out her emergency key that Lulu gave her and opened the door. And, boy, did she get a surprise.

"Oh. My. Gosh."

Michael was in the shower when he thought he heard knocking at the door.

Abby's early.

He hopped out of the shower and grabbed a towel on his way out. He wasn't surprised or alarmed when he saw the door open; he had given his girlfriend a key recently. Before he had a chance to wrap the towel around himself, a pair of wide blue eyes coupled with an o-shaped mouth greeted him. "Oh...my...gosh."

It took Michael's brain a few seconds to register that he was flashing his cousin's best friend, not pleasantly greeting Abby.

"Maxie!" He quickly covered himself with the towel. "I—I thought...sorry!"

"No, no need to...apologize."

Maxie could barely concentrate as Michael stood in front of her, his muscles glistening.

How unexpected.

"Wow. I mean, I just stopped by to, uh, you know, Lulu."

Was this little Michael Corinthos? No, not little anymore. Maxie just caught him in all his glory. There was no disputing that he was a man. Apparently all that stuff he was spewing around town about not being a little boy anymore was justified.

"Um, Lulu's not here." Michael looked around awkwardly, trying to avoid watching Maxie stare at his exposed chest.

"Obviously. That's...yeah, I'll just catch up with her later." She finally looked back up to his eyes. "Guess I'll go now."

"Yeah."

Maxie slowly turned around to leave. Before closing the door behind her, she looked over her shoulder.

"It was really good seeing you again, Michael."

Michael stared at the door after Maxie left. There was something about the way she spoke to him, like he was something to be desired, that made him think of her differently. She had always been beautiful to him, but now he had the strongest urge to take her and make her his.

As he stood in the middle of his living room/bedroom lost in thoughts of Maxie, the door opened again. For a split second, he actually believed it was her.

"Hey, babe."

Abby walked in, shutting the door behind her and closing the space between them. She wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him as close as possible. Her eyes widened a bit at the contact.

"Well, I guess someone's happy to see me."

Michael didn't know what to say, so he closed his eyes and kissed his girlfriend ferociously.
