If you have ever read Once Upon A Marigold then you might know what I am talking about. This takes place after Chris and Mary got married. I hope you like it. This starts out at the cave.
"Daddy can I go out and play?"
"No," Chris said..
"But why" complained Max.
"Because it is raining like heck.
"Fine I will go ask mom," "Mom shouted Max.
"Yes dear?"
"Can I go outside?"
"Um no."
"but it's not even raining out, Max looked out the rain looked like foggy out there.
"Fine okay I will play with Topsy Topsy come play with me"
"Rough Rough" it yapped with a high squeaky voice.
"Go fetch" the dog ran but it never came back it was way to old so it flopped down and slept for awhile.
"Mom Topsy fell asleep again"
"Again man we need to get her a check up." the mom said like she said a thousand times.
"Chris?"
"Yes dear"
"Can you take Topsy to the animal Doctor tomorrow?"
"Ya sure tomorrow"
"Man topsy you are getting heavy have you been licking off dads plate?"
"Woof" the dog yapped happily.
A couple of hours went by.
"Okey time for bed"
"But I don't want to go to bed, dad do I have to go to bed now!"Max, said with hope.
"Yes" Max's hope faded.
"Good night hun good night." the storm was still going over night by morning it was gone.
"Daddy it's time to go to the store to get me a fishing pole so me and you can go fishing." Max said with so much happiness.
"Okay just lets have breakfast first" Chris said still tired and Mary still asleep.
"Ooh something smells good, what is it?"
"Scrambled eggs"
"Sounds good I'll have some."
"Hey mom"
"Yes Max?"
"Me and Dad are going to town to get a fishing pole so me and can go fishing"
"That's great dear."
"Come on Daddy lets go"
"Okay"
"Oh dear don't for get Topsy"
"I wont come on Topsy"
"Woof, Woof"
"Wow this place is big."
"Sure is lets go to the Vet's first."
"Okay"
"So Doc. How is Topsy?" "
"She's fine but she is pregnant."
"What!?" Chris said in shock.
"Okay lets go come on Topsy."
"Dad are we getting our fishing pole now!"
"Lets go."
"Oh hello Chris what are you doing here today?" said a man with a nice smile.
"We are here to get my son a fishing pole."
"Oh lets see what we got here oh here we go how about this one?"
"Ya that's perfect can we get it daddy, please." said Max with I little three year old voice.
"Okay I will take it."
"Okay that's ninety five cents."
"Thanks!"
"No problem come back soon."
"Oh good you're back so what's wrong with Topsy?" Mary said waiting for an answer.
"Topsy is pregnant."
"She is well that's great!"
"Yes great," said Chris not very excited..
"Topsy go fetch." Topsy ran in the middle of the road a carriage started going in the same direction.
"Topsy come back" Max trying to catch up.
"Topsy!" said Max said frightened.
