Kai woke up, groaning. He was in a hospital bed, machines beeping by him, and he looked at his hand. It was frightfully skinny.

He silently sat up, looking through the window, as he relayed what he last remembered before ending up here.

"End of the line." Aichi smirked. Kai narrowed his eyes in defeat as the sixth damage fell into the damage zone.

"Aichi... I will find you again!" Kai snarled, desperation in his voice. He was about to lose Aichi again, after being so close.

"Oh?" Aichi coked his head as the red plumes surrounding them started to circle under Kai. "It's too bad you may not be able to after this."

"What does that mean!?" Kai cried, feeling his stomach knot.

"It means that my judgement is different from the Quatre Knights." He smiled as the red plumes started to blot out Kai's vision. Through the clouds, he could see a figure pointing two fingers at him.

"Judgement! Eternal Nightmare!" He proclaimed as Kai's vision became white.

And here he was. He jumped at the door opening, and a very familiar face poked out. Kai widened his eyes in horror.

"Mother?!" He rasped

"I'm here." His mother sat on the bed, and she narrowed her eyes as Kai tried to scoot away from her.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, concern written on her face.

"I... I thought you were dead..." He croaked

"Excuse me?!" She exclaimed

"You and father died... And I transferred... I played Vanguard... I met these people. I had so many experiences."

His mother sighed, shaking her head. "Must be from the coma."

"But I play vanguard mother!" He shouted, anger rising in his chest.

His mother just gave him a puzzled look. "Vanguard doesn't exist, sweetie"

Kai widened his eyes, horrified, as an image of Aichi flashed in front of him.

Was my life a lie?
