She Knew
This is just short and sweet Piece I wrote set in 2014, Peter and Carla have finished after he had an affair with Tina and Carla doesn't loose the baby. This is just drabble really of her thoughts about her and Peters ruined relationship and her impending motherhood. Please read and review as i'd love to hear your thoughts.

Carla exhaled as she sat down on what used to be her and Peter's Sofa. She was exhausted, lost in a daydream. She sat staring at the one remaining photograph of her and her soon to be Ex- husband sitting upon one of the shelves. She missed him but she didn't need him she wasn't allowed to need him anymore not after his betrayal. She knew she would always love him after all how could she not love him he used to be her one and only, her everything but now, now her days with Peter where just a memory. She was grateful for him being there when he had been over the last few years his strong embraces and loving words had been the only thing that had gotten her through the hell that had been her reality. She often wondered had it been real for him of course for her it was real, peter had been the one for her. She thought they where going to be forever but had he really loved her. She supposed she would never know. She would always cherish the memories she shared with Peter but she was ready to move on from him now and start a new chapter in her life.
She adopted a lying position on the sofa and placed a hand against her bump. This would be the only remaining piece of their relationship, this beautiful baby. She couldn't quite believe she was due in just 2 short months. Carla Connor with a baby who'd of thought it. If anyone had even suggested having a baby to her a few years back she would have laughed in their face in fact she had laughed in Peters face when he had suggested it but now, now the she could feel this precious little one growing inside of her she couldn't imagine her life without it. She knew it was going to be tough in fact she knew it was going to be close to impossible at times but she wanted nothing more than this baby.
She knew everything was going to be ok once she had her baby in her arms she would protect it at all costs and give it the love she had craved as a child but had never received from her mother. Carla Connor was going to be an amazing mother.
