This is a songfic to the song It's My Party, by Lesley Gore. It's really old…but really good!! And this will have a sequel. It's also the only songfic that will have a sequel, cause NejiTen deserves it!! It'll be called: Judy's Turn To Cry. (Also by Lesley Gore!!)
Tenten looked around at her birthday party. She was turning seventeen and finally going to be in the Anbu!! Neji was going to be her captain, but she didn't mind that. In fact, she really liked that thought. She and Neji had been in a good, loving relationship for the last, say, year-and-a-half. He was here at the party somewhere…but she had lost sight of him while talking to her friends.
She turned back around to look at Sakura, Hinata and Ino.
"Yeah, Anbu is going to be so FUN!!" she yelled, pumping her fist into the air.
"Yeah yeah, we know your excited about that, but how're you and Neji??" Ino asked, fire in her eyes.
"Yes, tell us!!" Sakura added, jumping up and down. Hinata just nodded politely.
"We're doing great!!" Tenten said, smiling. "We've been together for a while, and nothing's brought us apart!!" She laughed. "He's going to be captain of my Anbu squad!!"
The girls gasped over-dramatically.
"Ohmygosh!!"
"Are you serious?!"
"Th-that's great…!"
"Yeah I know! I can't waaaiiit!!" Tenten said, jittering happily. Then she calmed herself.
"But we'll be keeping it strictly business on missions." She smirked.
"Tenny-chan…your doing the scary Neji-Smirk again…"
"Oh, oops!! Gomen."
"Anyway, suuure you'll keep it business on missions. I know you better than that, you perv!!"
"I-Ino-san!! Th-that…!!"
"Oh, it's fine Hina-chan. She's right about me. Hahaha!! But Neji-kun would never…"
Tenten's voice trailed of. She heard Neji's voice behind her and turned around. But the sight she saw…wasn't what she expected, or ever wanted to see.
Neji with another girl.
To make it worse, she was wearing his ring.
"Th…" She couldn't spit out a full word, let alone a full sentence.
"What's wrong Tenten…?" The other three girls looked behind her to see what Tenten was so upset about. They all gaped, but Hinata quickly composed herself.
"They're o-only dancing, m-maybe th-they're just friends…"
The girl laid her head on Neji's shoulder.
"…Or n-not."
"That's Temari, from the Sand." Ino spat out.
"Yeah, that little slut."
Temari turned around to look at us, and gave an icy witch-smile.
Tenten quickly sat down at the nearest table; Sakura, Ino and Hinata close behind.
She put her face in her hands, and cried.
"Oh, Tenny-chan, don't cry!" They cooed, wrapping their arms around her.
"You would cry too, if it happened to you!!(1)"
Then Tsunade, Shizune, and all the other sensei's walked up and put a huge cake on the table.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TENTEN!!!"
