Understanding
Tracking Sheppard through the city was easy. Taking him down with my weapon on stun was routine.
It's this waiting that's hard to accept. She's giving each of us the chance for what she calls a private goodbye in these last hours. Her voice is gentle and understanding, the tone I've come to appreciate from her.
As much as I want to be out there doing something to prevent this, I won't give her more worry by taking off on my own. Her eyes are softly moist, hiding her pain. He was her friend before he became mine. Her hurt comes first.
