"Come on Skipper! Don't do this to me!" Kidate had to take a breath to stop the tears. "We can both find out who you are! Don't you remember me?" But Kiroku's smile said otherwise.
He laughed at her harshly. It was one of those laughs that said: I'm bigger and badder than you, and there's nothing you can do about it. He winked at her slyly. "I don't give a damn about who I was. I am who I am now, and if you don't like him, then you're an obstacle. And everyone knows that we must obliterate our obstacles."
Kidate tried to find that boy she had known so long ago. She wanted to see that same Skipper who would laugh and smile with her all the time. The one person she didn't want to see though- this demonic, evil and treacherous side- was the only thing that showed through. And she didn't have the time. She told him that she could get Skipper to their side easily without anyone getting hurt. Everything was supposed to be fine once she talked to him, but things weren't working out as well as planned.
"Skip, you know that you don't want this. You don't want to kill people! You're only hurting yourself! NOTHING GOOD WILL COME OUT OF IT!" Kidate was screaming helplessly at him.
Kiroku Sukippu's smile grew even wider. Too wide. Wide to the stroke of insanity. Then he let out a cackle that started slowly, but became scary fast towards it's end. "You're right Kiddo, this isn't what I want." He suddenly stopped as if the record playing the laugh had been removed from it's player. For just a few seconds, Kidate was filled with pure joy. He was finally seeing it her wa-
His voice was suddenly so slow that it seemed to almost get deeper. His eyes widened as the sun set on him, turning the right side of his black hair orange."I don't want to kill people. Or at least, not right now." His voice speed began to incline with each syllable he spoke. "I WANT NONE OF THAT! THAT IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT RIGHT NOW! HAHA! THERE ARE ONLY TWO THINGS I WANT AT THIS MOMENT!" His laugh had somehow turned into a high pitched scream as he disappeared.
Kiroku was fast. Kidate wouldn't have noticed him suddenly appearing behind her fast enough. And him stretching that sword out around her neck was just as quick, leaving her with no time to react. Sukippu's smile was smaller now, almost like he had some funny little secret he wanted to tell.
Leaning over and whispering into Kidate's ear in an almost seductive way, his voice had returned to it's usual tempo, sweet and silky as it was when they were both younger. "I don't want to kill people Kidate. Right now, at this moment, the only things I want are, 1." He raised the sword so the blade's tip was pointed directly at her throat. "To hear you scream. And 2." He had wrapped a welcoming arm around her waist and nuzzled his face into her neck. "I want to see you bleed." And with that, the sword made it's plunge at Kidate's neck.
Kidate did scream.
Kidate did bleed.
And Kiroku enjoyed every second of it, laughing as the oily, crimson liquid covered his hands.
