Firefly
Ever get depressed to the
Point that all you can do is smile
And laugh as the world appears to
Fall about your ears?
The stray hope, the light at the end of the
Tunnel, as the saying goes, appears
To be no brighter then a firefly,
A small light dancing out of reach.
But on the darkest nights,
The moonless and starless nights
When no other light can be found,
And all things are hidden from you,
That tiny firefly can illuminate the world
If you let it.
And you smile because you have a light.
And you laugh because the only other thing
To do is cry as you drown in your own darkness,
And never be able to catch that firefly.
