Hiccup stared off into the sunset and slowly patted toothless as he slept through the cold and harsh night. Fire was shot through the sky Hiccup looked up to see a monstrous nightmare starring at him, he was untamed and free so he set himself alight and became a blazing inferno. Toothless looked up and growled a warning as he cradled a shocked Hiccup and protected him from the dragon who was determined to go for the kill. Hiccup pushed him aside, only lightly like he would if they were playing and touched the dragon on the nose and fed him a fish. His eyes went from piercing blue to lilac green with a peaceful red flare.
"Hey not as tough as you look!" said Hiccup surrounded by them both he looked up and thought of a name for his new friend.
"I will call you Lockjaw!" the dragon looked like it was smiling Hiccup knew for he felt it inside. Toothless knocked against Hiccup to make him realise he was there Hiccup finally looked at Toothless and scowled.
" Toothless I am aloud to play with other dragons leave off!" he shoved Toothless out the way and continued playing with Lockjaw. Toothless handed Hiccup his dad's hat and made his toothless smile. Hiccup sobbed and through it into the water jumped on Lockjaw and flew off leaving a confused Toothless to sulk by the river.
Why would he do that?
