So, I decided I would try and do a story on last night's episode. It should be long, because I'm doing all of vic's POV. If this isn't your cup of tea, sorry. Just felt like it needed to be done.
Sean had been awkwardly happy ever since I had agreed to go with him on vacation. It had started out sort of cute, but now it was beginning to wear at my nerves.
He was leading me, with my eyes covered, outside. "Be careful."
I tried not to grumble as he stepped me further into the yard. " Un huh."
I could hear that he was just a giddy as he had been all week. "And step on the grass."
"un huh."
"And stop." He lowered his hands, my eyes having to quickly adjust to the bright light. And then the even brighter car. "And ta da!"
I tried to not let my disdain show through. "A convertible, what for?"
He stepped forward, opening the driver side door. "It's a five hour trip. There's no reason the ride can't be romantic."
Walking around it, I still couldn't get over the color. "Um, it's a little loud."
He seemed to be distracted with something inside the car. "Yea but it's the only one I could find, and convertibles are surprisingly hard to find in Wyoming." He said this with a point, and it took all I had in me not to snap back at him.
I followed after him, trying to let that thought breeze from my mind. "So where are we staying anyways?"
He turned around to face me, smiling in the doorway. "Jackson Hall is all you need to know." He turned, picking up one of my bags as he passed it. "You're all packed right?"
Following behind him, I picked up another bag. "Yea, I think I have everything."
He stopped for a second to look back at me. "Well not everything, remember? No gun. No badge."
Taking my coat from him, I nodded. "And no cell phone, I know."
It was like a mad house, trying to keep up with him. Before I knew it, he had another bag up, and was buzzing around. "Well, cell phone, that was your idea."
I grabbed my laptop, putting it in its usual drawer. "Yea, but when we made the plans for the trip there wasn't a lot going on at work, so…"
When I looked up, he had turned to look at me. "Vic, if you would rather go to work, than spend a weekend with me, I'm not gonna t…"
Turning, I quickly strode over to him as I pulled on my jacket. "That is not what I mean and you know it Sean. It's gonna be great. It's just work stress doesn't just disappear in a few seconds," the look on his face couldn't help but make me smile. "It takes a few minutes, cruising in a convertible, listening to some 80's hair metal…?"
The last part sort of trailed off into a question. He grinned back at me. "Slater."
I laughed as we headed out the door. "Uhhh, Whitesnake!"
He laughed behind me as he locked the door. "Classic!"
So I decided I'm going to break up the episode into snippets. Here is the first one.
