A/N: Hi everyone…..This little one-shot just popped into my head…It doesn't tie into any of my other stories at all…Anyway hope you guys enjoy it….

It was just like any other day at work, nothing special going on. No new case's nothing major happening in the Big Easy. Chris enjoyed days like this, it meant he could be lazy and spend his day however he wanted to…and right now he wanted to be out on the river fishing..But that wasn't going to happen, at least not right now, he did have a little bit of paperwork to do, but nothing too time consuming, Chris looked up when he heard Pride walk back inside the office. He walked to his desk and slammed down his phone, Chris just watched Pride he knew the older man well enough to know not to push. But he thought he should break the ice anyway.

"Anything ya care to talk 'bout King?"

"Ahhhh, Christopher my man, I just don't know anymore, I had hope we could work this out. But I just don't see that in the cards."

"Only thing I can tell ya is, I've learned that ya just gotta know when you're wrong. Gotta say it to her, and bein there for her, has gotta be your main priority."

"Christopher you've really become quite the man." Chris smiled and nodded his head. "I can't take all the credit, the wife helped a lot."

Pride laughted.. "Ya she's a hell of a woman.."

"Don't I know it… I'm a lucky man…" The sound of the backdoor opening, made both men look towards the kitchen, both smiled when they saw a little brown haired boy come running into the room…He had his arms open and headed straight over to Chris….

"Dada….Dada…"

Chris stood up and scooped the little boy up….

"Hey there buddy, where's your mama at?"

The little boy pointed at the door, just as they heard a woman's voice…

"Cade Christopher LaSalle, what did I tell you about running away from me?"

Chris smiled as he watched his very pregnant come walking in, she walked right over to Chris and Caden.

"Caden why did you run, when I told you to stop?"

Caden looked at his Dada then back to his Mama.

"See…Dada…"

"That's fine you wanted to see Dada, but what have I told you about running away from me?"

He looked at his Mama with big sad blue eyes…"No..Run.."

"Now what do you have to say about running away.."

Caden looked at his Dada for help..Chris whispered in his little ear, and he placed him on the ground..Caden walked over to his Mama, and looked up at her…

"I sworry mama…I wove mama…"

Merri looked down at her little son, who looked like he was about to cry..

"It's ok baby, just don't do it again…mama loves you too.."

Chris cleared his throat.. "Does mama love dada too?"

Merri looked at Chris…"You know I do…"

Pride watched his two agents and their little son, he was glad the two had found each other. They were a good match and brought out the best in each other.

"Christopher why don't ya take that family of yours home, no need for ya to be here all day."

"Thanks King.."

Chris picked up his little son, and took Mere by the hand. He led them out of the office as Pride watched them. Pride was happy that Chris and Merri had found happiness with each other. Even with his family life coming to an end, it made him happy to know his friends had their whole life ahead of them.
