Now this is where the fun part kicks in…
Because she was so ugly the following happened:
After Uchiha Sasuke laid his eyes on her, the said sharingan eyes burst into flames and he committed suicide by jumping off the hokage monument.
You may think that the Uchiha clan died out but there was Itachi, the last hope (How ironic since he's the one who finished off the whole family tree). But the horrible thing that happened to him was that he also got a glimpse of the ugly girl and the Mangekyou Sharingan rebounded on him and ha died a very agonizing death.
That was how the Uchiha clan was erased from the history books.
The Hyuugas also met the same demise because they all saw her one day when there was a general celebration in Konoha. The veins on their eyes upon activation of their Byakugan burst and the all, inevitably, died. The Byakugan became a myth along the ranks of Harry Potter and up to now half the cemeteries are occupied by the Hyuugas.
As for everyone else, they went berserk and zombie-mode (like those of Shaun of the Dead) and the whole village was declared in a state of emergency. Whenever someone saw the girl they would instantly drop sporadically to the floor and die, their souls floating from their bodies and up to the wide, blue yonder.
The Akatsuki also died when they tried to seize the chance to raze Konoha to the ground but they also fell victim to the girl's horrendous visage. And so the world was rid of Akatsuki. The girl would have been declared a heroine but no one survived.
The girl was also stabbed by the double edged sword that was her ugliness when she checked herself in the mirror. The mirror cracked and smashed into smithereens and an evil spirit rose from the glassy shards and took the girl's soul to the asphodel Meadows where she will remain until judgment day.
That was the story behind the Extinction of Konoha.
