This was my entry for one of the Toontown Rewritten Alpha Key contests and I sort of liked it so decided to post it. -markaleen
New Beginnings
It was finished; the cogs had taken over. The toons of Toontown had been defeated. Now it was time for them to pack their bags, their doodles, their pies and their squirt guns and seek a new life elsewhere. It was a sad moment as they took one last look at their once-perfect town. Tears fell as they remembered how it was once a land of colorful buildings and smiles, but it had now been turned into a sea of grayness. There was no stopping the feelings of loss; where would they go now? Surely nothing could replace their beloved home. There was one toon who wasn't going to left defeat... well, defeat him. He looked into the distance and saw a wide open land. "The cogs may think they've won, but they didn't. It's time to start rebuilding." They all dried their eyes and looked forward. With this one toon's help and guidance, toons now saw a life full of hope and new beginning. A chance for new adventures, new friends, and new memories. However, they'd always hold their memories from Toontown near and dear to their hearts.
