Losing Handles

Set during The Time of the Doctor when he loses Handles. What was going through his mind when Handles finally died?

That was it.

Handle's power supply was depleted. There was no bringing him back, even with the TARDIS. His battery cells were completely empty and there was no way of restoring him.

That was it. He was all alone.

Well, Clara was with him, but Handles had been with him since before he ever landed on Trenzalore. During these hard centuries of defending Christmas, he could always count on Handles.

But now the little bugger was gone.
