He held his head high, resisting the pain inside of him that made him want to cry. He had just seen his sensei, the one he looked up to, killed right before his bright blue eyes. Blood was still dripping down from the blade that had gone straight through his stomach.
Naruto looked over to Sakura who had fallen to here knees with tears coming down from her fragile face. Kakashi was dead. Sasuke had killed his former sensei, yet he seemed to fell pretty proud of himself.
"It looks like Kakashi wasn't so great after all, even you could have probably killed him Naruto"
Sasuke was grinning from ear to ear as he still held his sword straight through Kakashi. The blood was dripping all over Sasuke's hands; Naruto had never seen his friend like this. Sai and the others had not yet caught up. Karin, who was standing behind Sasuke along with Suigetsu and Juugo, suddenly looked worried. Suigetsu look at Karin.
"What is it Karin?"
"S-Sasuke h-his chakra its-its unbelievable"
Sasuke turned around and stared at Naruto whose chakra was surrounding him. Naruto looked up at his former teammate with his piercing red eyes.
"You'll pay"
Sasuke wasn't phased at all; he had faced Naruto at his demon fox level before. But that was then and this was now. Naruto bounced up at Sasuke, not use to Naruto's speed he had to quickly dodge the punch and leave his sword edged through Kakashi. But as soon as Sasuke turned around one of Naruto's punches hit him, then again and again. Juugo ran over to Kakashi's dead body soaked in blood, grabbed the sword and threw it.
"Sasuke catch!"
Sasuke saw the sword, dodged a kick then caught it in his hand. He then went for a finishing blow through his once friend. Although Naruto turned around, grabbed Sasuke's sword and broke it in half. He then laid several more punches into Sasuke before he hit the ground. He had not yet had time to activate his sharingan; all he could see at the corner of his bruised eye was the weeping Sakura who was sitting alongside Kakashi's body.
"Sasuke, Why? You would never had done this"
Sasuke realised what he had become. A monster. He looked back at Sakura to see Suigetsu behind her, he was about to strike Zabuza's legendary sword, which he had taken from his grave, straight into Sakura. Sasuke, who at one moment was lying on the ground had thrown Sakura out of the way and sacrificed his own life for her. Juugo, Karin, Suigetsu and Naruto were completely shocked. Blood splashed straight out of Sasuke's back as his body landed on Kakashi's. It was ironic that the same death he had dealt on Kakashi would happen to him also.
"SASUKE!"
Sakura screamed as she watched the person she loved sacrifice his life for her. Suigetsu could not believe what he had done. This time Naruto did not resist the urge to cry, the tears ran right down his face as he went to comfort Sakura. They both walked over to the two bodies. And with Sasuke's last living breath he uttered to words..
"I'm sorry…"
