"You never looked out for me!" The words still echoed in his head. It wasn't true, he always looked out for him. Liam watches the news and waits for his brother to call and tell him that he is safe. INo call, just like him./I
"Breaking news: Oceanic Flight 815 has vanished into thin air! It was reported to have lost communication six hours in. To see the flight manifest, please visit our website at ..."
But before she could finish, Liam ran to the computer and typed in the URL. Karen comes in with Megan in her arms. "What is it hunny?"
Liam clicks on the letter "P" and at the top of the list was:
Pace, Charlie.
Liam begins to burst into tears. "This cannot be happening."
"What?" Karen looks at the screen and sees Charlie's name. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry, Liam."
Liam stands up and runs to the couch. "For all those who have lost a loved one on this flight, there is a memorial happening at Central Park tonight. We ask everyone to come support those who have lost a loved one on this flight." continues the newscaster. Liam begins to call Patrick and Luke from DriveSHAFT and then calls his mother. After hanging up the phone, Megan comes into the room and sits down next to her father. "Are we going to go?"
"Yes, sweetie. We're going because Uncle Charlie died on that plane."
"No he didn't, he's still alive. In my head, I can hear him saying that he misses us."
"Well, lets go get changed for the memorial."
That night, a minister is naming off the names of those that are missing on the plane. When he reads of Charlie's name, Megan looks at her daddy. "I'm sure he is okay."
"I believe you sweetie."
On the island, Charlie sits on the beach looking at the vast ocean. II miss my family so much, I wonder how they are taking it./I
Then, he hears his niece's voice saying, "We miss you too, Uncle Charlie. Especially daddy. Don't worry, I know you're still alive."
