Doctor Lauren Lewis was working on a new project. It was a research project for different types of fae. She knew it was going to take a few years to complete but it was engaging and it felt nice to actually be working towards something again. The light fae's database needed a little more modern touch and a full documentation of different types of fae is a must need. At least, that's what the Ash said, and Lauren agreed. The Ash gave her a list of different fae he had notified for the doctor's research. Lauren had planned to spend at least a week with each fae to collect enough facts. First name on the list was a water nymph, or naiad, named Lilly Ballis.
And so, the doctor was now walking up to the door of this naiad. There was a cute sign on the door that read "If no response, try the pool" in painted curvy script. Lauren knocked twice just to make sure that she wasn't in the house. As expected, there was no answer, so she made her way around to the pool. She was surprised to see a natural pool; plants are used to treat the water instead of harsh chemicals. Lauren looked up and noticed that it was raining and it was confined to the pool area.
"You know it's raining here, right?" Lauren voiced to the fae, hoping she would notice that her power needed to be managed.
"Hm? Oh." The naiad turned and the rain stopped. "Sorry, I'm still kinda working out the kinks." Lilly looked greek. Afterall, she was full blooded Naiad. She had a sea green streak dyed in her brown hair and a tattoo of a woman pouring out a pitcher of water on her collarbone; a symbol similar to the astrological symbol of aquarius.
The doctor hummed in response. "The Ash tells me that you're the most powerful Naiad. I'd like to see how and maybe why."
"Right, lemme just..." Lilly twisted out of the water, controlling it. She walked out on top of the water and came out of the swimming pond completely dry. "Nice demonstration, huh?"
Lauren silently wished she got that on videotape. She smiled and nodded at the woman. "I'll be sticking around for about a week to gather information on Naiads. I'd like to know everything."
"Usually I'd ask you to take me to dinner, doctor. I'm flattered." The woman chuckled and stuck her hand out for the doctor to shake. "Lilly."
"Lauren Lewis," the blonde introduced herself, meeting Lilly's sparkling eyes. She was already intrigued by this woman however, she wasn't quite sure if it was just her professionalism sneaking up on her.
"Oh, let me get out of my swimsuit and invite you in."
