Reba was sitting on her couch in her sweats and no make up on. She had a long day at the office and when she got home she instantly changed into something comfortable. She was flipping through the channels on TV when there was a knock on the door. She sighed in a hint of frustration and got up. She opened the door and there he was.

"Hi Reba." he smiled at looked at her thinking, "Wow she's still beautiful even when she's in sweats with no make up on."

"Hi Jack." she replied with a small smile on her face. She was in total shock. She didn't know what to say or what to do. "Damn he smells good..." She got lost in his scent and her smile grew bigger.

She was drawn out of her thoughts and fantasies when she felt his arms wrap around her waist. He pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly.

Reba pulled back; making Jack feel a little hurt. "Aren't you married?" Reba didn't want to let go. She wanted him to hold her every waking moment of her life. She still had intense feelings for him and she wouldn't be able to stand losing him again. It would tear her apart like it did the last time he left.

Jack kissed Reba with all the love he had for her. They finally broke apart and they both sighed.

"Wasn't quite the same was it?" Jack looked down, frustrated in himself for lying to Reba and leading her on.

"No." Reba said looking down as well. Only instead of being frustrated she was hurt. This was tearing her apart. She was "the other woman", something she never wanted to be. She really liked him too. How could he do this to her if he cared about her?

"Is there anything I can say because I'll say it. I don't wanna lose you." Jack said meaning every word.

"Say you're single." Reba felt the pain in her heart as she choked out the words knowing it would be goodbye for them.

"I will be." Jack said knowing he couldn't lie to her. She meant the world to him.

"Call me then." Reba said with even more pain in her voice. She wanted to die right there. She couldn't stand being without him and she knew she had to. Maybe his marriage had a chance. She didn't want to stop that from being worked on. If her marriage had a chance she would've done anything to keep it.

Jack looked down and started walking towards the door to leave, each step ripping at Reba's heart more and more. He turned around to face her. "I'll talk to you later." Reba semi nodded and looked at him with the saddest look on her face. This was ripping at his heart also.

He left and Reba sat down on the couch and sighed. She could feel tears stinging her eyes. She tried to blink them away but it was no use. She started crying and within a few seconds she was sobbing.

Reba blinked away the awful memory and continued to look at him, confused as to why he was here. He hadn't called her like he said he would. He was obviously still married. "So what brings you here?" she said hoping that he was single. She had tried to move on. She even dated a few guys, nothing serious. She just couldn't shake away her feelings for him.
