Author's Note: I want to warn you that this is a spoiler, if you have not seen the end of the anime. ONESHOT!
"Hey, Chrno, do you remember when we first met?" a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl said, softly.
"Yeah, you and Joshua loved adventures, and had great dreams," a purple-haired devil, in the form of a child said, as he sat beside the blonde on a rocking bench.
"…I may not be able to see the astral lines, but at least Joshua can, and I know he's safe…" the blonde sighed, resting her head on Chrno's s shoulder.
"Rosette, I'm sorry," Chrno apologized to the 16-year old blonde-haired woman.
"For what?" Rosette asked, tilting her head to the side, to look at the young-looking devil sitting beside her.
"For getting you and Joshua mixed up with Aion, it's all my fault!" Chrno declared angrily, closing his eyes.
"Don't say that," Rosette soothed, "If none of this would've happened, I wouldn't have met you, Chrno!"
"But…" Chrno started to object, when Rosette leaned over, and captured his lips within her own.
"I love you, Chrno," she whispered, pulling away from the devil, as the clock ticked its last beat, and she died.
"I love you too, Rosette," Chrno said, putting his arm around her still form, and closed his eyes, to let death welcome him, as well.
