Rodolphus' lips were soft against her own. His stubble brushing against her skin set sparks off insider her. His hands were around her waist pulling her flush against his body and making her body tingle pleasantly with desire.

It did not mean her thoughts were focused on Rodolphus.

For all of Rodolphus' many positives he was not the man she wanted. She was young, attractive, intelligent and blessed with the purest of blood. Every man wanted Bellatrix.

Yet, she was destined to long for the one man that could not be hers.

Pulling away from his embrace, she forced herself to breath and stare into Rodolphus' attractive face that was not pale, waxy or distorted. She needed to keep herself together. It did not matter what her body longed for in the Dark Lord's presence or what her heart screamed for whenever it beat, it was that one thing she could never have.

Her Lord was too mighty for that. She knew how she felt. She had tried to deny it for months and years, but the pull was too strong and the truth unavoidable. She did love him. It was the type of love that motivated her and called her forth to do the impossible.

The Dark Lord was an impressive man. She might even think she could see the faintest flicker of desire in his beautiful eyes that were so far from human, but she knew love was that one thing he could not give her. He was too strong for that. He was too strong to find himself subject to the emotions that others were forced to concede to. His focus would always be himself and, with his power, she could never blame him. She could never fault him in any way.

Moving in to kiss him again, Bella kept her eyes closed allowing the kiss to linger before she pulled away.

"Tell me you love me," she whispered softly her lips still almost touching his.

The question was sudden and she assumed Rodolphus would think it strange, but she knew he would answer precisely because she already knew him too well to be wrong.

"I love you," he murmured back his tone oddly softly for Rodolphus and quiet as if he was scared of anyone else hearing his confession.

Her smile increased. She had her eyes closed and focused on trying to twist the tone of voice in her head she so could pretend, just for a few moments, that it was not Rodolphus speaking.

"I love you too."

Her tone was genuine because she was not thinking about Rodolphus. She thought about that one thing that motivated her for her Lord and what she wanted. It was on her mind as she kissed him again with more passion and affection as the tumbled onto the bed.

It was hard to keep up with her fantasy, but she had no choice.

It was the closest thing to getting what she wanted.
