Every age in Middle Earth began and ended with a significant event. The Fourth Age began with the creation of the War of the Ring. The Fourth Age is where many tales, songs, and stories formed for parents to tell their offspring before they lay their head down at night.
Our story begins at the start of the Fifth Age.
It had been several years since the second rising of the Dark Lord, Sauron. Every creature had heard of the great stories that went along those years so long ago.
Every child's imagination was filled with the thoughts of their ancestors fighting side by side, saving Middle Earth from the dark forces that once inhabited the lands. Though all of the stories from the Fourth Age were cherished, they were all mostly fictitious to keep their children happy.
There is one story, however, that which all of Middle Earth knows by heart. By the start of the Fifth Age, however, there lived little people who were alive when this story was being formed - What is this story, you ask?
The story of Frodo, Samwise the Brave and the One Ring had been twisted throughout the years. Many of the storytellers would add moments in the story which would spice it up, or take away moments that which they thought would scare their children. I am not one to say that Frodo's story is one for the faint of heart. However, it is one for those whom want to be inspired, and crave adventure. Frodo's story is the one story which made all of Middle Earth believe that Hobbits were extraordinary creatures, who are ultimately stronger than an army full of trained Minas Tirith soldiers combined.
I bet you are wondering why I am telling you of Frodo's story, and not of the story I mentioned before. Well, it is because Frodo's story is a part of the story you are about to hear. The people of Middle Earth believe that Frodo's story is long over, and there is nothing left of it. But they are sadly mistaken, for that was only the beginning of Frodo's story. Frodo may be gone, but that does not mean someone else can't pick up where he left off.
This is the story of Ruby Gamgee, the unlikely heroine, and how she destroyed the forces of Sauron that Frodo and the rest of his fellowship had failed to see. Most of the people of Middle Earth, who had shared Frodo's tale had, of course, mentioned the One Ring. But, the part of the story that had faded from all memories with the twisting of the story that is of the other Rings of Power.
And that was exactly what Sauron wanted.
