Two eyes glowed in a darkened corner. Tears bled out of them as muffled sobs escaped from the child's mouth. Outside the corner, screams could be heard as the child's mother was brutally killed.

Vampires, was what her mother had called them. Creatures of the night, they roamed to fill their blood thirsty fury. Her father had been killed by them 6 years ago. She had never known him, but her mother had said he wasn't exactly the type of father she would have imagined.

Another scream. This one longer, more final. A silence followed, while the child tried to hide her cries of despair. She crept to the edge of her hiding place, peering out. She saw two figures, one male, with a tall build and long hair. The other was a woman, with long hair piled up onto her head and a beautiful red dress. The two made a beautiful pair aside from the fact that they were vampires. Both their faces were contorted into strange lines, and their faces were streaked with her mother's blood.

"You knew this woman, Angleus?" asked the female vampire, her voice playful.

"Aye." replied the man, his voice sounding with an Irish accent. "I didn't care much for her when I was alive. What a shame. She has such, shall we say, tasteful qualities?"

The woman laughed, and they both left the house, not even looking back. Not even caring.

A fury grew into the young child's chest. The pit of sorrow in her stomach turned into a raging fire of anger. The vampires would not get away that easily. The one named Angelus would suffer for what he had done. She would make him feel her mother's pain.

One day, she would have her vengeance.
