Setting of the Crescent Moon

Prologue

She felt the wind rush through her fur as she waited for dawn to break. The reeds howled as wind passed through their hollowed insides. She looked around as the light began to pour over the mountaintops. The sun began to brighten as she ran her hand through her hair. It shone through her fur, giving a reddish glow to her surroundings. Her amber eyes shone as she stared at him, watching him ponder her very existence.

She was some sort of half-human, half-beast creature. Her ears were pointed and her body was covered in short fur. Her hair on her head was slightly longer similar to a human's. She had a long catlike tail that flowed in the breeze. She stared at him through amber eyes with slim pupils like a cat's. Her feet ended in paws but she still stood erect on two legs. Although, she looked as if she could drop down on all fours and run with great speed if needed. She smiled at him and smiled. There were fangs hidden in that smile but the smile was not of malice or ill intentions, it was full of knowing and recognition. This half-girl, half-beast knew him and where he had come from, he knew it.

Eilik walked up to the beast-girl and raised his hand. There was a flash of light and the girl looked upwards. The clouds darkened and the ground began to shake. Fire erupted from the clouds and a figure emerged from atop a mountain. The girl looked at Eilik, her eyes shaking. Then, there was a flash of electricity and Eilik bolted upright, covered in sweat, and stared at the wall in confusion.
