Disclaimer: Of course, I don't own Bebop.
Authoress' note: Just a small poem that I actually first wrote for my Senior Writing Seminar class. Many allusions to many different things. ^_~ Enjoy.

The Real Folk Blues

Bang.
That's the sound of life
Big shot, always open
Echoing through your heart
Like a sad Saxophone solo

Ask DNA, they always said
About your many failures
Existing day to day
Chasing bread, never free
Past years still calling

Gotta knock a little harder
On Heaven's door even if
They'd ever let you in
Bounty hunter extraordinaire
Betting on a cosmic dare
Blonde and blue in your eyes

The real folk blues come around
Ave Maria, and adieu
The crimson beast of fallen time
Finishes the tragic operetta
Of dreams you never woke up from
Stare off into the stars, as she says
'See you, Space Cowboy.'
