Yuki opened his eyes, only to immediately slam them shut. The bright ribbons of sunlight cascaded over his pale, creamy skin.

Speaking of ribbons, Tohru was probably downstairs, cooking breakfast and wearing the yellow ribbons that she had received from him as a White Day present. Yuki smiled tenderly at the thought and made his way downstairs, now fully awake. Maybe today he would confess to her.

As Yuki made his way through the downstairs hallway, he paused. Behind the door to Shigure's study, the rat heard a voice...Kyo's?

Why was that stupid cat in there? Yuki decided to eavesdrop.

"I can't believe I'm talking to you about this, dog." Kyo's rough voice stated. Shigure laughed, but quickly became considerably more serious.

"Kyo, if you won't tell her about this, you could at least talk to me about it. Either way, it's unhealthy not to vent your feelings."

"Yeah, yeah, fine," Kyo said with a sigh.

"Well, every time I'm near her, my face heats up and my heart starts pounding like crazy...it's really embarrassing. But I don't want to tell her anything...I just don't think she feels the same towards me, ya know?"

Shigure gave the cat a wise smile, and turned his head to face the door.

"Things will work out as they may. Only Tohru herself can decide whom she has feelings for."

Yuki shivered. He could feel Shigure's eyes on him through the door.

He could hear Kyo shouting things like "What the heck is that supposed to mean!?" and "Are you even taking this seriously!?" from behind the door, but the cat's words seemed to silence in comparison to his own screaming thoughts. Despite what his previous intentions for the day were, he had a new idea. An idea that would bring happiness to a certain two people, despite how much he loathed one of them.

As if on cue, Tohru Honda walked up to the violet-eyed boy and greeted him as she did every morning.

"Good morning, Yuki!"

Yuki smiled back, before whispering something in her ear.

"You should tell Kyo you love him. I know you do, and I know that that stupid cat returns your feelings. In any case, good luck in telling him."

Yuki was very proud of himself for doing the more noble thing. Tohru blushed and began to stammer.

"I-I uh, Yuki how...how did you know?"

Her face was tomato red, to Yuki's entertainment.

"Because if you had no feelings for him, your face wouldn't be as red as it is now." He said with a slight chuckle.

Tohru smile kindly to Yuki.

"Thank you."

She said, truly grateful to the rat.

Before Yuki could say anything, Shigure's door slammed open, only to reveal an angry Kyo.

"YOU SURE AS HECK BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN SPYIN' ON ME, YA RAT!" The fire haired boy shouted.

His face reddened when he say Tohru, looking at him happily.

"Nyeh! What are ya looking at me for!?" He said in embarrassment. Tohru continued to smile.

"It's just that...Well, Kyo, can I talk to you in private, if that's okay? I have something important I need to tell you."

Kyo's face was now a deep shade of red, as was Tohru's.

"Uh...sure."

Yuki smiled for the two.

He felt happy for them. Well, not so much the stupid cat. Maybe he would feed that idiot some leeks later...
