"Your reputation," she sighed, leaning against his chest. "They didn't lie when they talked about you."

"Oh?" he smiled. "They talk about me?" He stroked her hair and laughed, "Didn't know I was the talk of the town."

She traced her finger along his torso, laughing lightly, "You're Fred Weasley. Everyone knows who you are." She tilted her head and pressed her lips to his chest. "Everyone was right, too. It really is amazing."

Fred chuckled to himself, preening at the compliment he had heard time and time again, "It is, isn't it?"

"I don't think I've ever felt so-"

Fred stopped listening, he could have recited you the next part of the conversation without thinking twice about it.

I don't think I've ever felt so close to someone before. And then he would laugh and make a remark and they would continue with, You know what I mean, Fred. You make people feel like they matter. It's not all about you. And Fred would say something about how it is all for him and they would go on to say, No, Fred. You don't seem to understand. And Fred would cut them off and tell them that it seemed that they didn't understand and they would laugh and say, You're Fred Weasley, it's just what you do.

"Fred, I have a question," she asked, clinging to him tightly.

"Yes?" he wrapped his arms around her.

"I think that we-"

Could work out, you know. You would just have to, well, you know. Stop all this. It's all well and good to meet people in this fashion, but to be with someone. Fred, don't you want to be with someone? To fall in love? And Fred would laugh and kiss their head and say something about how he loved what he did too much to ever channel that love into something else. And they would peel off his chest and look him in the eye and say something like, Don't you ever wonder what it's like? To fall in love? I mean, everyone deserves to be loved and Fred would chuckle again, leaning over to pull the covers closer and they would end with even you.

"I don't think I was made like others," Fred smiled. "I mean, even George and I aren't identical."

"What's the difference between you and George?" they would all ask.

George knows how to love.
