"It's too late to pretend; you know me better than I know myself."
No. No, no, no. No.
A crush? On Macy Misa?
Oh, ho, ho. I don't think so!
Nick wasn't into the sport type, or even brunettes!
He liked girls with light colored hair – blond or brown – ones who could sing and not sound like an injured manatee! The ones he could actually hug – or even touch – without them fainting.
Macy Misa was the exact opposite of what he wanted.
And yet he's been having these oh, so weird cravings to be near her.
Like, in the atrium last week. Or, three days ago in Algebra. Or, even yesterday at lunch.
But was her face in his locker? No.
Was she the only thing on his mind? No.
Did he write her a song (or two)? No.
So, he'd come to the conclusion that he did not (notnotnotnotNOT) have a crush on Macy Misa.
And everybody else is trying to prove him wrong. But he knows how a crush feels – his sort of crush, anyway (burn rubber and fall madly in love, and then get his wee heart broken) – and this wasn't one of them.
Honestly, what kind of person knows every single thing about you?
A while back, he even thought she knew him better then he knew himself.
(Which was odd, because he changes thinks about himself all the time, and yet she always seemed to notice the small things.)
And another thing – her observation skills are creepy.
Joe found them flattering. Kevin thought it was downright adorable.
How was picking up on the slightest of facts flatteringly adorable? At all?
So when he sees her in the hall ways and that wide grin stretches across her face and those little butterflies go absolutely crazy in his stomach – he'll ignore it all because he doesn't have a crush on her. It's just something about her that makes his stomach feel weird. Probably his nerves, cause, y'know, she could probably kill him at any moment of any day of any month of any year –
But it doesn't matter.
Because she won't because he won't even acknowledge those stupid little butterflies anymore. Or the way his heart sped up or the way that smile of hers turned his legs to goo.
Macy Misa was no longer involved in Nick Lucas' life.
Nope. No more Macy for him.
Nuh-uh. No more.
No more...
And those thoughts are completely forgotten when he kisses her smack on the mouth the next day. Because she smiled and he lost control.
It's too late for him to pretend.
Because she is adorable and the way she's so observant makes him smile and dear lord.
He's fallen in love with Macy Misa.
Great.
That was just...ew.
I don't like it.
But I had to do something for the challenge and this was all I got.
Mehh.
