A/N: Another one-shot inspired by random talking to ShinyJayne19. This one is HAPPY! Yes, that's right, I finally wrote a happy one shot. I'm still amazed myself. I also gave this one an open ended ending. If the response is big enough, I will expand on this, probably rewrite this entire chapter and make it a small multi-chapter story. Status is Completed for now, but can be changed depending on the feedback. So let me know what you think in a review.
Disclaimer: Don't own Chuck and never even seen Pretty Woman, but I know what it is about. And Julia Roberts is so delightful, don't you think?
Chuck versus the Pretty Woman
"Chuck, you know that I think of you as a brother. But seriously amigo, there are so many better women out there than Jill. You just gotta let it happen bro."
"Don't want to," Chuck muttered. He hid his head under his pillow, still clutching Jill's shirt that she hadn't bothered picking up. He inhaled her scent and tears threatened to spill out of his eyes again. His one love, betrayed him with his best friend. How could she?
Devon shook his head. He'd been in this stump for over a year already. And Devon wasn't lying when he called Chuck his brother. Sure, he had two others but for some reason, Devon always felt more at ease with his girlfriend's brother than with his own. He looked upon the heaving body that was Charles Bartowski and made up his mind. He was going to fix this. He walked over to the computer and went to a website he never thought he would have to visit. But it would at least help Chuck get over Jill.
Chuck sobbed for an hour. His heart tried to jump out of his chest at the gaping loss left by her. He heard a knock on his door. "Go away!"
Devon opened the door and walked in. "Bro, there's someone here to see you."
"Don't want to see anyone at this moment in time, Devon, thank you very much." Chuck replied sarcastically.
"Trust me, bro. You're going to want to see this."
Reluctantly, Chuck slid off his bed and discarded the t-shirt that was soaked with his tears on his pillow. He'd shoo out his visitor and then come back here to finish what he started. He walked into the living room when he literally felt his heart stop beating for a second. His mouth fell dry at the visage in front of him. Luscious blonde hair flowed naturally down her shoulders and over the white shirt with a frilly lace bodice. Her blue jeans enveloped her legs that seemed to go forever only to be finished off by stylish black heels. But what kept pulling his attention, were those blue eyes that seemed to have a perpetual depth to them. His eyes flicked to Devon who made himself scarce.
"Hi," Chuck said meekly. "I'm Chuck."
"Hi Chuck," she softly said. "My name is Sarah."
To be continued?
