A/N: Just a quick drabble I thought up during my science class…
Disclaimer: I do not own Dan and Phil, they are their own person and the following event is purely my imagination.
Always Forever
Phil had just sat down on the couch, cocooned in his duvet off his bed, and a cup of hot chocolate in his hand. He didn't move to turn the tele on, and he had left his computer in his room. Dan glanced over at him, taking in Phil's oddly stoic expression, and moved his laptop from its usual place on his stomach onto the coffee table. He turned his body towards Phil so the older boy would know he was listening.
For the longest time Phil just sat there staring, his hot chocolate quickly growing cold. Dan continued to wait silently, knowing he at least owed this to Phil when the man had helped him through numerous existential crises. It was when tears started to carve their way down Phil's cheeks that Dan took the mug out of his hands and gave the man a hug.
"What happened, Phil?" Dan's voice was muffled by the duvet but he knew Phil was able to hear him.
"Nothing. I just… You know how sometimes you just need to cry and not think or do anything about it? Just sit there and cry. And let it out, and be done with it? I… I sort of feel like that right now." His words were whispered, but they echoed throughout the flat.
Dan nodded before shifting them so that Phil sat in his lap, his face tucked into Dan's neck. They sat like that for a bout of time and Phil just let go. He wasn't a loud or messy crier; he just let the tears that were flooding his heart out through his eyes without putting up a fight.
When he was finished he sniffled and glanced up at Dan. "Thank you. I love you, Bear."
Dan smiled, "Always?"
"Forever."
