I do not own Doctor Who in any way. (Although one can wish…) This is my first attempt at Doctor Who related poetry, based on the Doctor's thought after leaving Donna in Journey's End. Please don't flame, although constructive criticism is very much appreciated.
I've left you on the Earth, my love,
I've left you far behind.
But may you sleep in peace at night,
For you're still on my mind.
You look up at the stars at night,
I see you standing still.
I wish you could remember me,
But I know you never will.
All the things we did together,
Those memories are gone.
To you it's just a story,
But it me it all lives on.
I swear I won't forget you,
And I'm not the only one.
So many live in freedom now
Because of what you've done.
Just when we realised our feelings,
Then I had to let you go.
But I'm still up here loving you,
More than you'll ever know.
I've left you on the Earth, my love,
I've left you far behind.
But rest assured, you're always there
Upon the Doctor's mind.
