Huzzah!! Our third writer on this account, Siv-san, has finally decided to post some crack up here! Although, she has attempted many a time to delete this particular story off of the multiple flash drives that Kittara owns. So without further ranting, we present, Siv's Static Shock krack fic!
Disclaimer: We do not own any characters portrayed in this fic. If we did, it would be a very scary place.
This fic takes place just after the episode with the Justice League in it.
As much as Hawkgirl hated to admit it, two new additions to the team would be very nice. After all, the electric kid along with techno brat made quite a team. It was as though their powers were meant to compliment one another's. Electricity un-channeled is dangerous, and rather useless, where as technology is just as useless without electricity. Or so some poet somewhere would probably say....
Uneventful days such as this day were a blessing as well as a curse. No crime meant more time to think. Thinking led to speculation, or even doubt. Doubt as to taking Richard Foley and Virgil Hawkins in as part of the league when they were still so young. Seventeen is so young, but there again, Robin was also young. But he didn't have any family outside of Bruce Wayne. Richie and Virgil had families; Caring, loving, supporting, families. Isn't that what children needed? Families?
Hawkgirl stopped short on her long walk to the training room. The feathers on her wings bristled with anxiety. A quick search of the area revealed the source of irritation. The small metal contraption Richie had made known as Backpack scuttled along. Sighing in annoyance, Hawkgirl picked up the demented metallic insect. Gears knew he wasn't allowed to let the thing wander. Stomping towards section four of the building Hawkgirl quickly located the dorm marked 34A-4, also known as Gears and Static's room. Not bothering to knock, she let herself in, ready to chew out both boys for all they were worth.
Her tirade was cut short by the sight in front of her. Apparently, the duo had been watching a movie and fell asleep, together, on the large beanbag. Richie's head had found it's way onto Virgil's shoulder. Judging by the way Virgil's arm had snaked around his friends shoulder to rest his hand over Richie's hand, neither of them seemed to have minded falling asleep like that.
Hawkgirl got three blinks to take in the scene before the metal monstocity managed to struggle free. Servos whirling, Backpack climbed over the beanbag right onto Richie's stomach. Subconsciously, the inventor brought both of his arms to rest on top of his creation; his child so to speak. Virgil gave a noise of irritation at the loss of the warmth, and shifting, Virgil's hand once again found Richie's hand to leech the warmth off of.
Huffing at the lost opportunity to scold the two boys, Hawkgirl left the room. Looking back as she walked down the hall, a small thought crossed her mind. 'Maybe family is what you make it. Even if that family is an obnoxiously loud father, a super geek mother, and a semi-sentient robotic baby.'
