Mercy
Hidden scars behind the shame.
For that darkness always came.
Hear my plea
Over God's rough seas,
Gifting him with him with mercy
And me.
Upon my knees
Screaming, "Please"
His gentle arms carry me.
Resting within his grace,
This comfort I must not erase.
Re-building my strength;
Re-building my trust.
For all shall come to what it must.
Joyful pleasing rising in my soul
No longer to be controlled.
My heart once condemned,
Now ready to mend.
And as I whisper to you
The merciful words,
"I love you"
My eyes no longer a prison,
For your mercy has risen.
