The residents of Sunagakure slept peacefully as their Kazekage stirred up in his tower. He slipped from between his cotton sheets and barely disturbed his lover. Picking up his discarded sleeping pants, he returned them to its place around his narrow hips. He silently moved to the French doors of his balcony. Unlocking them and pushing one open, the soft breeze moved throughout the room and broke the tranquil silence. A cool breeze flooded in and caressed his heated skin.
His eyes slipped closed as he let the sand-filled air wash over him. Movement from the area of his bed caught him slightly off-guard and violently broke him from his trance. Opening his eyes, he let this gaze whip to the room's only other occupant. Rock Lee sat up with his legs bent to rest his head upon his knees. The thin sheets were twisted around his legs and left the rest of his pale body exposed to the cool desert air.
"Did I wake you?"
Lee smiled, "No I'm-" he yawned widely, "just surprised you slept for so long."
Gaara chuckled deep in his chest. "So am I." It was the week of Gaara's birthday. Lee took the week off to travel East from Khonoha. They had begun their relationship after Gaara was captured by the Akatski and Shukaku was removed from him. This inevitably killed him, but it was only temporary as he was brought back by one of Sunagakure's noblest ninja. Unfortunately, even without the demon, he didn't sleep very well. He slept maybe an hour a night. With Lee with him, he had been getting four to five hours a night.
He closed the balcony doors and moved back to the bedside. Lee watched him undress with heavy lidded eyes. Gaara moved fluidly to pull the sheets completely away from his lover's body. He could still smell the faint scent of their earlier activities.
Lee leaned back on his elbows and spread his legs for the Kazekage to nestle between.
"Ready again?"
Gaara shook his head and pulled Lee back up. They sat entwined together. Gaara's gut tightened at having the man so close to him. He watched with fascination as Lee's dick twitched with apprehension.
"I want to show you something."
Lee smiled and wrapped his arms around Gaara's neck, "it's not my birthday."
Gaara silenced him with a quick closed mouth kiss. He cupped his hands together and built up the loose sand around them. Lee giggled as the small grains rolled over him. Gaara smiled and slowly opened his hands.
"Watch." A flower bud sat in the center of his hands. Leaves grew out as his hand opened farther, the bud separated and bloomed like a flower in the sun.
"A lotus," Lee smiled and placed his hands over the Kazekage's, "Now, if only I could get your heart to bloom so widely for me."
Gaara let the lotus crumble in his palms, "It's getting there." He moved one of Lee's hands to sit where his heart sat beating his his chest.
"It just needs a little more sun."
A/N: My stupid beta decided to ruin my fluffy goodness and tell me Gaara's flower trick was like Mokuton guy and (drumroll) I don't give a damn. We don't have enough GaaraXLee, so if you don't like it, deal.
