So, I was about to go to sleep when I realized I should pray. I'm a Christian, yes, but somehow I couldn't think about anything to say. Then I remembered the song Esmeralda sings in "Hunchback of Notre Dame," and she isn't sure about how to approach God either. However, she doesn't know anyone else who could help, so she sings for God, asking for a favour, not for her, but for those she cares about. I decided to write my own lyrics, however some are straight from the original song. I had something I wanted to ask for as well, and after writing it I figured that I should share it. I had a feeling that someone might struggle with words as well, and I can't see the harm in aiding them a bit. I'm not promoting my religion; I live in a multicultural environment and I feel that flaunting one's religion as the only and true one is plainly silly. However, I wish that if there's anyone who finds this anyway helpful to approaching God, let me know. If there's anyone who finds confessing sins and the fact that they need help to get through a bit awkward, don't hesitate. You're not alone.

I don't know if you can hear me
But I know that you're there.
I don't know if you would listen
To a sinner's prayer.
Yes, I know I'm just an outcast.
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see your face and wonder
Do you see me as I do?

God, help us sinners
Hungry from birth
Show us the mercy
They don't find on earth
God, help all people
We look to you still
God, help us sinners
Or nobody will.

Some live for wealth
Some live for fame
Some live for glory to shine on their name.
I ask for love I can possess.
I ask for God and his angels to bless me.

There's nothing I need
As much as this:
Please help me get through
My past and find peace.
Please help us people,
The poor and downtrod.
God, help us sinners,
The children of yours.

Disclaimer: I don't own the original song, nor the melody, nor anything about "Hunchback of Notre Dame."

God bless you all!

Luv,
