"Clark!" A voice shouted from within the kitchen. Superman took his eyes off the wood he was lasering with his eyes.
He was expecting Bruce home this time but his voice was not his usual 'Honey I'm home' tune.
"Yes?" Clark answered tentatively. He waited a whole minute in terrified silence for his response.
"Could you ... Um could you to the kitchen please." Bruce forcefully answered, he was definitely not in his usual I just caught a bad guy now I'm gonna take you on this couch kind of mood.
Being Superman, not a lot frightened him, although a agitated Batman was probably high on the list. He walked quickly to the kitchen and saw Bruce, arms folded donned in full Barman gear and tapping his foot, against the tiles of the kitchen floor.
"Yes hunny B." Clark said wrapping his arm around Bruce's waist. "How was your pursuit of justice today?"
Bruce said nothing but slide Clark's hands off his waist, and took a step back.
Clark looked confusingly into the eyes that were hidden behind the black mask.
"What's wrong?" Clark asked as he placed his hand gently on Bruce's shoulder. Bruce took a deep breath and sighed.
"Did you take it?" He asked. Clark was confused, what was the handsome bat talking about.
"Clark did you take it!" Bruce said now using his deep Batman voice.
"Babe I still have no idea what you are talking about. I... "
"The God Damn.." Bruce interjected cutting Clark off. "Fucking Cheese.!"
"What."
"I had cheese in the fridge in the fridge and know it's gone." Bruce accused.
"Babe I don't know anything about the cheese."
"The cheese I keep in the fridge for when I get home from fucking putting bad guys in prison all day. And all I want when I get home is my cheese with some crackers. Is that so hard to ask!" Bruce rambled on.
"Okay..." Clark said. "But I didn't take your cheese, Bruce."
"Well the cheese didn't magically open the fridge and roll out the front door. Did it Clark." Bruce snapped.
"Don't snap at me Bruce. You kind of starting to piss me off."
"Just own up to it Justice boy and I might not be so mad at you." Bruce snarled. Clark was getting angry, he was done with Batman thinking he could really take on an alien with superpowers, he was just a geek dressed as a bat.
"Batty I didn't take you're cheese, but we can go get more cheese from the store if you want." Clark suggested.
"Will you pay." Bruce inquired. Clark raided his eyebrows.
"You're the millionaire here and I didn't take it soo."
"You expect me to pay for my own replacement cheese. It's like I don't even know you Clark." Batman scowled. He lifted his utility belt off the kitchen counter and buckled it into place on his waist. "Fine. I'll get the cheese and use my money to pay for it." with that Bruce swept his cape in Clark's face and left out the door.
Clark rolled his eyes and started at the door. "What a baby."
