Well, it's Halloween. No one in my family is going trick-or-treating, because my brother and I are "too old" and my brother didn't want to, for whatever reason. I dunno. So now I'm going to try to do a Halloween fic.
Starscream ran down the halls, screaming and crying as his wings shaking. Behind him, there was a series of slow pede steps, and to not be caught by whoever was following him, Starscream ran faster.
He expected to see a drone doing its rounds, but he had yet to see anyone, anyone at all. He wouldn't even mind seeing Megatron. But his only company was the echoing of pede steps.
He rounded a corner harder than he had originally planned and he clipped his shoulder, denting his armor. He cried out and stumbled, scraping his knee plates. He knelt, a servo on his chest and he struggled to breathe and think. What was chasing him? What had he done to deserve this. Before he could figure anything out, he turned his helm and saw a dark figure standing behind him and walking closer, tentacles waving threateningly. Starscream screamed and took off.
His chest felt like it might explode and he vented irregularily, making his throat hurt, making everything hurt. Had he ever ran so much so hard so fast? No, he thought. Nothing ever like this.
He ducked into the control room, forgetting all about the door, and he tried to hack into the computers, trying to figure out what was going on, but all he kept getting was shaky footage of...a dark hallway? Wait. Starscream squinted and he found he knew that hallway. It was the hallway that led to the control room!
The camera panned and Starscream saw his own back on the screens, and when he turned around, he saw the same dark figure. He screamed again, then tore off towards the exit. He ripped the door open and he ran, trying so badly to move as fast as he could. He found a place to hide, the storage rooms, and he hid behind a stack of Energon.
He whimpered until he heard the door to the room slide open. After that, he tried to hold his breath.
Before he could inhale or cry, the dark figure was on him. He jolted onto his pedes, then it was dark.
ooo
Soundwave stared down at Starscream's limp form. He had been given a considerable amount of credits to scare the Seeker, and let it not be said that he didn't enjoy it. It was rather fun, and he did just as Megatron had asked. He had recorded the entire thing.
He was supposed to give Starscream the fright of his life when he caught the Seeker in a corner, but the Seeker ended up going into complete stasis, probably because when he tried to jump up, he knocked his helm against a shelf. Soundwave wasn't cruel. Megatron had told him to leave him, but instead the spy lifted the Seeker up and carried him out.
Knock Out treated him gently, nursing the helm wound that dripped considerably. Soundwave spent his time sending the footage to Megatron.
Soundwave, once Knock Out told him Starscream would be okay, turned on his heel and left.
ooo
Starscream woke in his berth, gripping his sheets. He relaxed when all he saw was his four walls and he sighed. He rolled over and hugged his pillow, falling back to sleep.
Meanwhile, in the RecRoom, Megatron played the footage of Starscream running and screaming. He made everyone promise to never reveal what had happened to Starscream.
"Let him worry."
