Okay, I had seen on Tumblr that xXAquaMangoXx liked this little idea from the imagineyourotp blog. And I thought, hey, why don't I write it? So...here it is! A quick Peddie oneshot for those of you that love Peddie! Enjoy?
Eddie grinned, looking over at his girlfriend. She was bundled up in a big, fat purple coat. Her hands tucked under her arms as she tried to keep warm. It had snowed the night before, and while the other Anubis House residents were off doing their own things inside, Eddie had convinced Patricia to walk around with him outside. But if you asked Patricia why she had agreed, she'd just tell you he had dragged her outside and shoved a coat onto her. But really, she just gave into his constant begging.
"Oh, come on, you can't tell me it's not pretty out?" he said with a roll of his green eyes.
"It's not that I don't think it's pretty, Krueger, it looks perfect; I just don't like the snow. It's like sand, it gets everywhere, it's irritating—I hate it so much." she grumbled, looking anywhere but him.
"You gotta look at the upside of things, babe." he stated. He unwound her arms and took one of her hands, entwining their fingers. "You've got snow angels, snowball fights, snowmen, white Christmases, snowflakes."
"What about snowflakes? They're too small to look at, what's the point?"
"Catching them on your tongue." he said smartly. He tipped his head back and stuck his tongue out.
Patricia watched him with a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. Finally, she did the same, waiting for the white flakes to settle and melt on her outstretched tongue.
"See, there you go, snow can be fun." he declared smugly, brushing her knuckles with his thumb.
She was silent for a minute, pursing her lips in stubbornness. "Fine, I admit it, snow can be fun—but snowball fights and sledding just aren't, alright? It can get in your boots, and someone might drop it down your coat—"
"Alright, Yacker, I get it, snow isn't always fun. But please, don't try to be a downer about it right now? It's beautiful out and the snowflakes are the perfect size to catch."
Patricia glanced at him. He was like a big kid. She loved that about him; he always seemed to be happy about the simplest things. He can be moody at times, but when it comes down to something as small as catching snowflakes on your tongue, he could be such a child.
She pulled on his hand gently and he looked back down at her.
"Wha—" he started before his sentence was cut off when she pressed her lips to his.
His arms wrapped around her waist and brought her closer to him as their cold lips molded together perfectly. She tilted her head as he deepened the kiss and one of her hands reached up, threading her long fingers into his dirty-blonde hair.
"What was that for?" he asked once they pulled away, arms holding her firmly against his rapidly rising and falling chest.
"For being a child." she replied, tapping his nose teasingly.
"Okay, wait, what? I'm not a child." he denied playfully.
"Psh, yeah, right," she laughed.
"Fine, come on, let's go make some snow angels." he smiled childishly once again and pulled her further into the freshly fallen snow.
