Tony POV~
His partner, his responsibility. He should have protected her. Now as he sat in the locker room he couldn't help but fight; fight not to cry.
He regretted every time he had ever annoyed her after a long day. He regretted the time he had blackmailed her and how he had pried his frat brother for information on her.
Most of all he regretted she had died without knowing. She didn't know how if felt to be loved, unconditionally, by anyone other than her family. She never had anyone waiting for her to come home. She never knew the joy of having children. He bet her kids would have been beautiful, funny and smart just like her. Lastly and the most important thing was she never knew how he truly felt.
He opened his locker shoving his gun and badge in. He found a sticky note with a number on it and he did something he thought he'd never do. He trashed it, ripping it to shreds in his hands. The only girl he wanted to spend a night with, was dead.
Mcgee POV-
She was more than just a superior. She was his friend.
She hardly ever called him probie, maybe once or twice. And she seemed to always have time to talk to him. To make him feel like a real part of the team.
He'd had a crush on her ever since he started NCIS. But that was short-lived. She was different but in a good way and it was clear she and Tony had this connection that he could only describe as fate.
He downed a beer in her honor along with the tears that had collected in it.
Abby POV~
Kate, her partner in crime. Abby didn't like her at first, but the more time she spent with her the more she grew to love her.
They were opposites; Abby the Goth, rebel and Kate, the sweet, innocent, republican. Who better to be friends? They each shown a light on the others hidden traits.
Abby's watch beeped. It was 7:30 on a Thursday night.
This was the one time of the week Kate and her would go out to do something; just the two of them. Last time they had done this without any interruptions Abby had talked Kate into getting a tattoo. This week she was trying for matching piercings. Abby had had it planned since Monday.
She smiled excitedly and looked at the sliding glass doors frowning when she realized Kate wasn't coming, she'd never walk through those doors again.
Duckies POV-
He had always thought of her like a sere get daughter.
Kaitlyn had a special place in his heart, that was certain.
He relived all the times she'd cried into his shoulder searching for comfort. He could never object to give it to her, he often needed it as well.
He hated the way Ari looked at her. It disgusted him. He should've told Jethro his suspicions. He should've done everything he could of to make sure she stayed safe. But he didn't and his poor Kaitlyn ended up on a slab in his office.
It was the hardest autopsy he had ever done and he hoped he'd never have to do another like it, ever again.
Gibbs POV~
He hurt so bad inside. He had lost people before but no one like Kate.
He wasn't in love with her. She was more like a little sister. He couldn't just let her go, he couldn't move on.
He tried to stay strong for his team, they were taking it hard already.
He poured himself a gracious glass of bourbon and downed it.
He had a picture of Ari hanging in his basement he had drilled hundreds of bullets into.
Revenge was on his mind. It was the last thing he could do for her. Ari must die.
FINI~
